Robert Kraft: Patriots’ Tom Brady, Bill Belichick Are Best Of All Time

Robert Kraft has had a front-row seat for greatness.

Kraft was asked Wednesday by WBZ whether he thinks Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are the best quarterback and head coach, respectively, in NFL history. The New England Patriots owner offered his stamp of approval, adding that it’s “not even close.”

“Think about it: They’re functioning in the age of the salary cap and free agency,” Kraft said. “It’s a real team effort, but you can’t win consistently if you don’t have a good coach and a good quarterback, and we just happen to have the best in each category.”

Brady and Belichick have won four Super Bowl titles since joining the Patriots in 2000. They’ve been to six Super Bowls, nine AFC Championship Games and have won 12 AFC East crowns. Each has racked up several NFL records during New England’s incredible run of dominance.

The only thing wrong with Kraft’s statement is that he didn’t also heap a little praise on himself. It’s been a heck of a ride in Foxboro.
