The Boston Bruins downed the Ottawa Senators 3-1, and they couldn’t have done it without Tuukka Rask.
The B’s goaltender was on fire Tuesday night, turning in a 39-save performance against the Sens at Canadian Tire Centre. Ottawa certainly had its chances — including a great one from forward David Legwand — to catch up to the Bruins, but Rask was a wall.
Legwand could have put Ottawa on the board early in the third period, but last season’s Vezina Trophy winner had other plans. Rask stretched out to make the save with his right pad, and the Bruins were able to coast to victory.
