There were plenty of Tuukka Rask saves to choose from Saturday, but one in particular stood out in the Boston Bruins’ 2-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Bruins goaltender recorded 30 saves en route to his third shutout this season, but it almost didn’t end that way. Penguins winger Blake Comeau nearly ruined Rask’s clean slate in the first 10 seconds of the second period.
Pittsburgh started the middle frame on a power play, and they came out hot from the face-off. The Pens immediately drove to the net as if they were prepared for the play, but luckily, Rask was prepared, too. Comeau got a quick shot off in the crease just eight seconds in, and Rask stretched out his leg for the pad save.
