The Philadelphia Flyers have built most of their team through smart drafting, as the team’s core of young players is mostly comprised of homegrown players.
Of course, not every draft pick plays their entire career with the same team, and that’s clear looking at the Flyers’ 2001 draft. That year, the Flyers used their first-round pick (acquired from Detroit) to draft forward Patrick Sharp. The sniper enjoyed some early success but didn’t blossom until he became a member of the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Flyers also drafted another pretty good pro in that draft. That player now plays for the Boston Bruins.
Can you name the current Bruins player who was drafted by the Flyers?
