Dutch Soccer Coach Full Of Rage, Punches Hole In Own Dugout (Video)

Robert Maaskant is having a tough time as a coach. Perhaps he should try boxing, instead?

Maaskant, head coach of Dutch soccer club NAC Breda, punched a hole in his dugout Saturday after his team conceded two goals in two minutes against FC Dordrecht in the Eredivisie (Netherlands’ first division).

NAC Breda put Maaskant in a good mood earlier on, having opened up a two-goal lead at halftime. But it went awry halfway through the second period. Giovanni Korte cut NAC Breda’s lead in half with a 67th minute goal. Everon Pisas capitalized on a defender’s slip and tied the game two minutes later, sending Maaskant to the breaking point.

Watch only Maaskant’s punch below.

The game between Eredivisie strugglers ended in a 2-2 draw, as NAC Breda failed to land the knockout blow.

NAC Breda players didn’t need to wait until Maaskant’s postgame talk in the dressing room to realize the extent of his fury. They only needed to glance to the right to know what was coming their way.

The draw left NAC Breda in 16th place in the 18-team league. NAC Breda must leapfrog at least one team in the Eredivisie standings in order to avoid relegation to the second division.
