After a dismal 71-win season in 2014, the Red Sox decided they might need a few Kung Fu lessons.
Enter Pablo Sandoval. The three-time World Series champion brings his broad array of talents to Boston this season, not the least of which is his infectious laugh and personality. On NESN’s new feature, “Red Sox All-Access,” the Panda gave Red Sox fans a glimpse of the tremendous chemistry boost he’s provided to clubhouses throughout his career.
Additionally, fans can catch an exclusive look of Sandoval’s work routine during spring training in Fort Myers, Fla., which includes hitting the batting cages between at-bats to fine-tune his mechanics. It’s that type of dedication the Red Sox were looking for when they signed Sandoval last November, hoping the Venezuelan switch-hitter could help improve a Red Sox lineup that struggled to score runs in 2014.
Be sure to tune in to Red Sox pregame coverage in the coming days to catch more of “Red Sox All-Access” for continued inside looks at this year’s ball club.
