Internet Goes Crazy, Compares Cavs’ J.R. Smith To Michael Jordan (Videos)

Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith was pretty awesome Wednesday, scoring 28 points off the bench in the Cavs’ 97-89 Eastern Conference Game 1 victory. Smith’s 28 points was the most he had ever scored in the playoffs, and his eight made 3-pointers set a Cavaliers playoff record. He also scored all 28 of Cleveland’s bench points.

Needless to say, the internet was impressed.

Who could blame them when he was making shots like this?

Of course, there was some really awesome material, like this incredible video.

There also were plenty of funny tweets, including some humorous jabs at the New York Knicks, who traded Smith and Iman Shumpert for a good ball boy back in January.

But then the internet went too far, as it often does, and compared Smith to the greatest player of all time: Michael Jordan.

So, how exactly did Smith morph into Jordan? Simple.

Keep doing you, J.R.
