The Boston Red Sox have been struggling this season, but a good series against the Minnesota Twins could set them in the right direction.
After a slow start to the season, the Twins had gone an impressive 15-6 in May ahead of Monday’s Memorial Day matchup against the Sox at Target Field, where they’ve put together a 14-6 record so far. Both their offense and their pitching have been productive, so as NESN’s Jerry Remy said during “Red Sox Gameday Live” on Monday, the Twins should be a good test for Boston.
“(The Twins are) in a tough division in the (American League) Central divison,” Remy said. “They’re three games behind the Kansas City Royals at this point, so that shows that they’re playing very good baseball, so it’s going to be an excellent test over the next three games for the Boston Red Sox.”
