Loui Eriksson Scores Hat Trick In Sweden’s Win Over Latvia At World Championships

Boston Bruins forward Loui Eriksson scored a hat trick for Sweden in its 8-1 win over Latvia in Monday’s preliminary round game at the 2015 IIHF World Championsips.

His first goal was scored on a shot from a tight angle and gave Sweden a 1-0 lead.

Eriksson displayed his excellent hands on his second goal. He was able to lift the puck over the Latvian goalie’s left pad in traffic.

The veteran forward completed his hat trick in the second period.

Sweden (2-1-0-0) currently sits atop Group A, but Canada can reclaim the top spot with a win Monday against host nation Czech Republic.

The preliminary round ends May 12.
