It’s been a tale of two sides for Pablo Sandoval so far this season.
The switch-hitting Boston Red Sox third baseman has been money from the left side of the plate, batting .388 (33-for-85) with 14 RBIs and four homers, including an 11th-inning blast Monday night that helped Boston earn a 5-4 win over the Oakland Athletics.
Sandoval’s production as a righty has been a different story, though, as he’s managed just two hits in 31 at-bats. Yet the 28-year-old has had success in the past as a right-handed hitter, and former Red Sox great Jim Rice thinks it’s only a matter of time before Sandoval starts to hit from the right side.
Hear what he had to say in the video above.
