With David Ortiz out of the lineup for Wednesday’s matchup against the Baltimore Orioles, the Boston Red Sox’s offense looks a bit different.

Hanley Ramirez, who left Tuesday’s game after fouling a pitch off his knee, is back in the lineup, filling Ortiz’s role as the designated hitter. Brock Holt takes Ramirez’s place in left field, while Rusney Castillo gets the start in right.

NESN’s Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy talked about Ortiz’s struggles against left-handed pitching before Wednesday’s game on “Red Sox Gameday Live.”

“Right now, the Red Sox lineup is actually probably better off without David in there because he’s not swinging the bat well against left-handed pitching at all,” Remy said.
