Pablo Sandoval: Violating Social Media Policy Won’t Happen Again (Video)

Pablo Sandoval has learned his lesson.

The Boston Red Sox third baseman was benched for Thursday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves after violating the team’s social media policy during Wednesday’s 5-2 loss. Sandoval admitted to using his phone and liking a couple of pictures on Instagram while he went into the clubhouse to use the bathroom during the seventh inning.

Sandoval owned up to the mistake and issued apologies to both manager John Farrell and general manager Ben Cherington, while also addressing the matter with his teammates in a meeting.

“It’s one thing I let my teammates down,” Sandoval told reporters, per “Red Sox First Pitch.” “Ain’t going to happen no more, so I learned from that.”
