A little blue birdie told us it’s national social media day, and teams such as the New York Yankees took to the internet to celebrate.

Let’s just hope the Houston Rockets learned their lesson, and don’t spoil the internet holiday with another absurd social media post.
In honor of national social media day, a little Twitter competition ensued during “Red Sox First Pitch,” and NESN’s Tom Caron came out on top with 49.9K followers.
Even though Caron walked away with the victory, Steve Lyons claimed it’s only because “(Caron) tweets like a madman.”
