Clint Dempsey’s Quick Strike Wins Team USA’s Gold Cup Game Vs. Haiti (Video)

Clint Dempsey is having a good week.

Dempsey scored the United States men’s national soccer team’s winning goal just one minute into the second half of its 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup victory over Haiti on Friday.

Dempsey struck just 61 seconds into the period, after halftime substitute Gyasi Zardes set him up with his first two touches following his introduction into the game.

Dempsey now has scored three goals in two games at the 2015 Gold Cup. The Texan scored both of Team USA’s goals in the 2-1 win over Honduras at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas on Tuesday. Dempsey, a former New England Revolution star, continues to dominate his old haunts, and Haiti now pays the price for his good times.

Team USA clinched top spot in Group A with the win over Haiti. U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann stripped Dempsey of the team captaincy, but the decision hasn’t stopped “Deuce” from doing what he does where he does it.
