Bill Belichick had little interest Wednesday in discussing Tom Brady’s recent absences from New England Patriots practices.
Brady missed practice Tuesday to meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and U.S. Magistrate Judge James C. Francis at an undisclosed location in New York to discuss a possible settlement for the Patriots quarterback’s four-game Deflategate suspension appeal, ESPN.com reported Wednesday. Brady also missed practice last Tuesday and Wednesday for a settlement conference with U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman.
So, are Brady’s absences affecting his rhythm in practice?
“I don’t know,” Belichick told reporters Wednesday before the Patriots held joint practices with the New Orleans Saints in West Virginia.
Brady rejoined his team to practice against the Saints as Berman told the quarterback it was unnecessary for him to attend Wednesday’s hearing in New York.
