Catcher Blake Swihart has swung a hot bat for the Boston Red Sox since his return from the disabled list last month, more than proving he deserves plenty of playing time behind the plate.

But could Swihart be more valuable for the Red Sox elsewhere?’s Rob Bradford pondered during Sunday’s edition of “Red Sox Gameday LIVE” whether Boston, which also has veteran catcher Ryan Hanigan and highly touted young backstop Christian Vazquez under contract, will test out Swihart at different positions over the final month of the season.
