We all know DeAngelo Hall can talk the talk. On this particular occasion, however, he certainly didn’t walk the walk.
The outspoken Washington Redskins cornerback was matched up against Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins during the teams’ recent joint practices in Richmond, Va. Things got pretty heated, and Hall was right in the middle of it all, getting in Hopkins’ face with a little trash talk.
Turns out that wasn’t such a good idea. Later in practice, Hopkins lined up across from Hall and flat-out embarrassed him with a sharp route break that nearly separated the 31-year-old cornerback from his body.
Fortunately, HBO’s “Hard Knocks” team was there to document it, in a scene that aired Tuesday night.

Hall literally injured himself on the play, and while it ended up not being too serious, the humiliation was painful enough, especially after Hopkins decided to rub it in.
Hall finally huffed and puffed a response Thursday morning, but Hopkins had another zinger waiting for him.
