Eric Berry is picking up right where he left off.

The Kansas City Chiefs safety recently was cleared to participate in training camp, just seven months after he was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma.

The three-time Pro Bowler only has been on the field for a little over a week — his first live action since November 2014 — but apparently he’s getting the hang of things rather quickly.

Berry’s interception of backup quarterback drew a huge ovation from the training camp crowd, according to the Kansas City Star. The Star also reports that Berry rotated in with the first-team defense during the team session of practice.

It’s pretty awesome — not to mention remarkable — to see Berry back doing what he does best less than a year after getting the news he had cancer. Given how the 26-year-old has tackled the disease, however, we shouldn’t be surprised he isn’t missing a beat.
