Patriots Practice Attendance: Tom Brady, Brandon LaFell Among Absentees
FOXBORO, Mass. — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was absent for practice Monday, as expected, as he attended a mandatory settlement conference in New York regarding his four-game Deflategate suspension appeal.
Wide receivers Jonathan Krause, Brandon LaFell and Josh Boyce, cornerback Darryl Roberts, linebackers Dekoda Watson and Dane Fletcher, fullback James Develin, offensive linemen Chris Barker and Bryan Stork, and defensive tackles Joe Vellano and Chris Jones didn’t participate in Monday’s walk-through.
Tight end Jimmay Mundine was informed of his release Monday morning and also wasn’t on the practice field. The Patriots are expected to release at least two more players Monday, one day before the deadline to reach a 75-man roster.
Offensive lineman Marcus Cannon returned to practice after missing last week’s sessions.
