Cristiano Ronaldo and Donald Trump one day could make strange bedfellows.
Ronaldo bought a loft worth $18.5 million in the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, the New York Post reported Sunday.
Ronaldo purchased the 2,509-square-foot loft from Alessandro Proto, one of Trump’s partners. Ronaldo spends most of his time in Europe as a legendary soccer player with Real Madrid and Portugal’s national team, but he now will have a crash pad in the Big Apple to use as he sees fit.
Ronaldo’s New York apartment will add more fuel to rumors that he’s eyeing a move to Major League Soccer after his mega-bucks contract with Real Madrid expires in 2018.
Ronaldo, 30, has been spending a lot of money lately. He reportedly bought his agent, Jorge Mendes, a Greek island as a wedding present earlier this month. However, we’re not worried about him going broke before he comes to America, whether for business or pleasure.
