Blake Swihart Back In Red Sox’s Lineup For Game 2 Of Yankees Series

BOSTON — The Red Sox took their series opener against the New York Yankees, and apparently, they’re hoping their lineup was the secret to that success.

The Red Sox are trotting out a Tuesday lineup that’s nearly identical to Monday’s batting order. The only difference is Blake Swihart will play catcher in place of Ryan Hanigan, and he’ll take the veteran backstop’s No. 8 spot in the order.

Rick Porcello will be on the bump at Fenway Park, where he’ll look to build upon his impressive comeback. The right-hander returned to the team Saturday after a stint on the 15-day disabled list, and he pitched as though he hadn’t struggled in the past. Porcello blanked the Chicago White Sox on five hits with five strikeouts and no walks through seven innings.

Here are Tuesday’s lineups for both teams.
