Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump also attended. He’s no stranger to New York City sporting events.

However, the loudest applause, according to Turner Sports’ Rachel Nichols, went to Aziz Ansari, aka Tom Haverford from “Parks & Rec.” Maybe good seats to the U.S. Open were part of his latest “Treat Yo’ Self” shopping spree.

Serena emerged victorious in three sets to advance to the semifinal and continue her journey toward the first single-season Grand Slam in women’s tennis since Steffi Graf in 1988. She’ll play Roberta Vinci on Thursday.

Her victory also sparked plenty of reaction from other notable athletes and sports personalities.
