Mark Cuban: Doc Rivers’ ‘Entire Future’ Over If Mavs Signed DeAndre Jordan

Mark Cuban and Doc Rivers won’t be sending each other Christmas cards this winter.

The Mavericks owner and the Los Angeles Clippers president/head coach haven’t exactly seen eye-to-eye since Rivers and the Clippers more or less held DeAndre Jordan hostage to prevent him from signing with Dallas.

Rivers had some choice words regarding how Cuban handled the whole situation during an appearance on radio host Colin Cowherd’s new show on FOX Sports 1. So Cowherd decided to bring Cuban in Tuesday and get his thoughts on Rivers’ comments.

Let’s just say Cuban didn’t hold back.

“It shows what someone will do when their entire future is vanishing in front of them,” Cuban told Cowherd. “That’s exactly what Doc did, and I give him credit for it. His professional life was over … if he didn’t get D.J. And so his back was against the wall and he did what he needed to do, so more power to him.”

Boom, roasted.

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

Of course, Cuban’s comments do have some truth to them. Rivers is on thin ice in Los Angeles after a disappointing playoff loss to the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference semifinals, and losing a key big man like Jordan would have been another setback in the Clippers’ quest for their first-ever title.

Either way, it appears this whole ordeal won’t go away any time soon, as the Clippers play their home opener against none other than the Mavericks.

We’re guessing Cuban will make the trip.
