Tom Brady Sr. Emotional Over Son’s Deflategate Suspension Being Vacated

The Bradys can exhale.

Tom Brady Sr. has stood by his son amid the Deflategate drama. So when U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman vacated the New England Patriots quarterback’s four-game suspension Thursday, Brady’s father reportedly (and understandably) was overcome with emotion.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced shortly after Thursday’s ruling that the league will appeal Berman’s decision to nullify Brady’s suspension. However, Brady is eligible to play in the Patriots’ season opener Sept. 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium.
