Brad Marchand Takes Elbow To Head, Leaves Bruins-Canadiens Game (Video)

BOSTON — Brad Marchand left Saturday’s Bruins-Canadiens game late in the third period after taking an elbow to the head from Montreal’s Dale Weise.

Marchand remained down on the ice for several seconds before slowly skating to the bench and exiting down the tunnel.

Weise has been involved in plenty of B’s-Habs controversy in the past, but his hit on Marchand did not appear to be intentional.

Bruins coach Claude Julien had no update on Marchand’s condition immediately after the game, which the Canadiens won 4-2 at TD Garden.

“Nothing,” Julien said, “because it happened late in the game, so I haven’t really had an opportunity to talk to anybody about him.”

Marchand finished with three shots on goal in 18:13 of ice time in the loss.
