Colts Sign RB Ahmad Bradshaw Ahead Of Week 6 Showdown Vs. Patriots

The Indianapolis Colts made an addition to their offense Wednesday by agreeing to terms with veteran running back Ahmad Bradshaw.

Team owner Jim Irsay confirmed the news via Twitter but did not disclose the terms of the contract.

Frank Gore has played well for the Colts as the starting running back, but there wasn’t much depth behind him. That’s not ideal when your starter is 32 years old.

Indianapolis ranks 24th with 92 rush yards per game.

Bradshaw actually spent the last two seasons with the Colts. He ran for 611 yards with four touchdowns in 13 games during that span.

Ironically, his last game was a Week 11 matchup against the New England Patriots last season. The Patriots won 42-20, and they will play the Colts on Sunday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
