The moment when you watch a legend leave the sport they’ve dominated for so long is an incredibly humbling and sombering moment. WWE fans at Los Angeles’ Staples Center made one of those moments a bit more memorable Sunday night.
After The Undertaker lost one of the better matches the WWE has seen in some time to Brock Lesnar, he laid in the center of the ring, motionless, for several minutes.
It felt like the end of an era, a passing of the torch. So when The Dead Man finally rose to his feet for what felt like it could be the final time as a professional wrestler, the fans were sure to thank the man who had entertained them for 25 years.

Of course, it might not be the end for ‘Taker. Considering the surprising interruption that ended the “Hell in a Cell” pay-per-view, it’s not unreasonable to imagine that Undertaker could return and jump into a different storyline sooner rather than later.
Still, it was an incredible (if not ironic) moment for The Dead Man in The City of Angels.
