The matchup just got real.
The Boston Bruins will host the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL Winter Classic on Friday at Gillette Stadium (home of the New England Patriots). As such, Boston mayor Marty Walsh and Montreal mayor Denis Coderre decided to place a friendly wager on the upcoming showdown.

Walsh and Coderre are no strangers, as the Boston mayor was forced to fly a Canadiens flag at Boston City Hall after the Habs defeated the B’s in the playoffs in May 2014. Walsh minimized the pain, to some extent, by flying an incredibly small flag, but Boston no doubt would like to see the tables turned.
