The Edmonton Oilers seemingly have one of the brighter futures in hockey, with loads of young talent already on their NHL roster.

The team’s hopes for success had hit a brick wall earlier this season, though, because of an influx of injuries. No. 1 overall pick Connor McDavid leads a group including Nail Yakupov, Benoit Pouliot and Oscar Klefbom that has missed significant time for different health reasons.

Yet the Oilers hit the TD Garden ice Monday night with a five-game win streak in their back pockets, thanks largely to the play of Taylor Hall and linemate Leon Draisaitl. Hall, a former No. 1 overall pick himself, has tallied 14 goals and 34 points in just 15 games this season, while Draisaitl follows closely behind with nine goals and 26 points.

NESN’s Dale Arnold, Billy Jaffe and Barry Pederson took a look across the sheet before Monday’s puck drop to examine Boston’s opponent. Check it out in the video above.
