NFL Week 16 Injury Report: Latest Updates, Rumors On Notable Injuries

by

Dec 27, 2015

Week 16 could be the most exciting of the 2015 NFL season with playoff berths and fantasy football championships on the line.

As always, injuries will play a huge factor, especially with so many star players dealing with various issues entering the weekend.

Keep tabs on the notable injuries from all 13 Sunday games, as well as the active/inactive lists with our Week 16 injury tracker.

8:02 p.m.: Adrian Peterson is active for the Vikings’ game against the Giants.

Peterson practiced only once this week, but his status never really was in jeopardy. The running back likely will continue to be the focal point of Minnesota’s offense.

7:40 p.m.: If you were curious about C.J. Spiller being a healthy scratch, Saints head coach Sean Payton told reporters after Sunday’s game the running back is dealing with “health issues lingering from camp.” Interesting.

6:34 p.m.: The Seahawks already lost Jimmy Graham for the season. Now, they’ll be without tight end Luke Wilson for at least the remainder of Week 16. Wilson suffered a concussion against the Rams.

6:20 p.m.: This week isn’t going the Packers’ way on the scoreboard or on the injury front.

3:35 p.m.: Another injury setback for the former No. 1 overall draft pick.

3:05 p.m.: Great news for fantasy owners because Doug Baldwin has been a touchdown machine over the last four weeks.

3 p.m.: New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston is inactive today. Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon also is inactive.

2:30 p.m.: More injury concerns for the New Orleans Saints offense.

Meanwhile, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Hasselback won’t return to Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins because of a shoulder injury.

2:25 p.m.: Tough loss for the Atlanta Falcons defense.

2:17 p.m.: Carolina Panthers wideout Ted Ginn Jr. left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury and was questionable to return, but he’s already back in the game.

1:21 p.m.: Another injury for a New England Patriots offensive lineman. He had to be carted off the field.

12:35 p.m.: Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson and Dallas Cowboys wideout Cole Beasley officially are active.

12:15 p.m.: New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (foot) is active.

11:50 a.m.: The Chicago Bears have confirmed Alshon Jeffery will not play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday because of an injury.

11:40 a.m.: Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is inactive. As a result, fantasy owners shouldn’t trust any Panthers running backs because the carries will be split.

11:35 a.m.: The Buffalo Bills have announced Karlos Williams will start at running back. They also revealed running back LeSean McCoy and tight end Charles Clay are inactive.

Here are the Patriots-Jets inactives.

11:33 a.m.:  Inactives for 1 p.m. games are starting to roll out.

11 a.m.: The Bears could be without their top receiver Sunday. Chicago plays the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1 p.m.

10:50 a.m.: If you’re desperate for a running back in fantasy football, Steven Jackson might be worth a flex play in really deep leagues.

10:20 a.m.: It should be noted Patriots receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola already have been ruled out of New England’s 1 p.m. game versus the New York Jets.

10:10 a.m.: It looks like the New Orleans Saints will have most of their important offensive players against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

10 a.m. ET: Let’s start off with some updates on players of note to fantasy owners.
