Peyton Manning ‘Disgusted’ At HGH Report, Calls It ‘A Freaking Joke’

Peyton Manning did an exclusive interview with ESPN on “Sunday NFL Countdown,” where he dismissed a recent Al Jazeera report claiming he received HGH during his rehab from multiple surgeries in 2011.

Manning paused a throwing workout with Broncos coaches to talk to ESPN reporter Lisa Salters, and the Denver Broncos quarterback was visibly upset. He called the report “a freaking joke” and using words such as “disgusted” and “sickened” to describe his feeling about the situation.

The report also alleged Manning received HGH through shipments addressed to his wife, which angered him. He said “it makes me sick that it brings Ashley into it.”

The Broncos, Manning and his agent, Tom Condon, all have released statements regarding the report. Manning called the report “complete garbage” in his statement, which was released through the team late Saturday night.

The pharmacist in the report who linked Manning to HGH told ESPN he made up his story. The Broncos host the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.
