The College Football Playoff’s two semifinal games will headline New Year’s Eve, but they’re not the only contests happening Thursday.
Florida State and Houston will provide a CFP primer at noon when they square off in the Peach Bowl at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
The No. 9 Seminoles enter with a 10-2 record after regular-season losses to unranked Georgia Tech and No. 1 Clemson, while the No. 18 Cougars own a 12-1 record after defeating No. 22 Temple to win the American Athletic Conference championship.
Florida State is favored by 6.5 points.
