The Bruins were a College Football Playoff contender earlier this season, but they ultimately stumbled to a 5-4 record in the Pac-12. The Cornhuskers finished the season 5-7 and weren’t originally bowl eligible. However, with not enough teams at 6-6 or better, the Cornhuskers backed their way into the Foster Farms Bowl.
