The Boston Bruins fell just outside the playoff picture last season despite tallying 97 points. Almost a year later, will the same output suffice?
NESN’s Dale Arnold and Billy Jaffe explored how the Bruins can find themselves in the playoffs this April on ” Big Bad Bruins Live,” using last season’s cutoff point as a baseline.
With 60 points entering Saturday’s contest against the Buffalo Sabres, the Bruins would need to go 19-12 to finish the season with 98 points — a more-than-reasonable request of a playoff-caliber squad.
Check out the analysis in the video above to see where the Bruins rank in comparison to other NHL squads and how those teams need to finish to hit the same benchmarks.
