Team USA faces Trinidad and Tobago in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship on Friday at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. A trip to Brazil is at stake, as the USA-Trinidad and Tobago winner qualifies directly for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Head coach Jill Ellis easily navigated the United States to the top of Group A, winning three group-stage games by a combined score of 16-0.
Team USA is has won all nine games it has played against Trinidad and Tobago and will be heavily favored to make it a perfect 10 and celebrate qualification for a sixth consecutive Olympic Games.
