Alex Morgan’s Stoppage-Time Goal Lifts Team USA Over France 1-0 (Video)

The U.S. women’s national team still is undefeated, thanks to Alex Morgan and Hope Solo.

Morgan scored one minute into stoppage time against France in the SheBelieves Cup in Nashville, Tenn., on Sunday to give top-ranked Team USA a 1-0 victory. The U.S. is now 8-0-0 on the year and is outscoring its opponents 30-0.

Morgan’s game-winner was aided by a fantastic performance by goalkeeper Solo, who earned her 97th career shutout in the win.

USA will take on No. 2 Germany on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. ET in the SheBelieves Cup finale in Boca Raton, Fla. The U.S. and Germany both go into the game with a 2-0 record in the tournament, having each beaten France and England.
