Darren Rovell’s ‘Defense’ On Kristaps Porzingis Is Painfully Hilarious (Video)

Kristaps Porzingis plays basketball for a living. Darren Rovell does not. Both facts became hilariously clear Wednesday.

The ESPN sports business reporter showed up at Delta’s “Fly Like A Pro” event and got the chance to play a little 1-on-1 with Porzingis, the New York Knicks’ 7-foot-3 rookie big man.

We have to give Rovell credit: He gave plenty of effort here. But it’s hard to look at the first five seconds of this video without laughing hysterically.

Just imagine what Stephen Curry would do to the poor guy. Unfortunately for Rovell, Porzingis wasn’t done there.

If you’re wondering why the 20-year-old Latvian sensation is humiliating a 5-foot-10 reporter and not just picking on someone his own size, this might explain it: Earlier in the event, a young baller showed Porzingis up with a devastating move — and a “dab” celebration to boot.

We’ll just call the day a wash for Kristaps.
