The last time Jose Aldo stepped into the octagon, he was knocked out in 13 seconds by a single punch from Conor McGregor at UFC 194.
After watching McGregor suffer a shocking upset loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 in Las Vegas on Saturday night, Aldo wants a rematch with the Irishman. And he wants it to happen at UFC 200 in Las Vegas this summer.
Aldo tweeted at McGregor, “see you at #UFC200” following UFC 196. He also added, “your fairy tale is over. You got nowhere to run now.”
The card for UFC 200 has not yet been announced, but it’s expected to be a lineup loaded with superstars, and McGregor and Aldo are the two most notable fighters in the featherweight division. It also would benefit the sport to have at least one title fight at UFC 200.
McGregor does appear to be willing to fight Aldo.
McGregor: "I still feel UFC 200 is there for me. I'll go back and see it. I'm simply heartbroken and that's it. I'll pick myself up."

An Aldo vs. McGregor II would be a fantastic addition to that card, but if the Irishman does defend his featherweight title at UFC 200, there will be a long list of fighters who’ll want to challenge him.
