It took less than seven minutes for tempers to boil over Saturday during a matchup of two Southern California rivals.
A Pacific Division tilt between the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings devolved into fisticuffs after Kings winger Kyle Clifford bumped Ducks winger Corey Perry along the boards at the 6:58 mark of the first period. Perry shoved back, and within a matter of seconds, all 10 skaters started swinging in what quickly became a full-scale line brawl.
When the dust settled, 68 penalty minutes were handed out, including four fighting majors and game misconducts to both Anaheim’s Kevin Bieksa and L.A.’s Andy Andreoff.

The star of the scrap was 22-year-old Ducks center Rickard Rakell, who gave Kris Versteeg a pounding in his first career fight.
That was Rickard Rakell's first NHL fight. And Kris Versteeg might be regretting that one. Whoa.

Versteeg announced as questionable to return by the Kings. Hasn't played since questionable decision to fight Rakell.

The Ducks went on to win 3-2, extending their NHL-long winning streak to 11 games and propelling them into the top spot in the Pacific.
