The North Carolina men’s basketball team advanced to the Final Four on Sunday, but this season hasn’t been easy for head coach Roy Williams.

The veteran coach already battled vertigo in a game against Boston College back in February, and he couldn’t escape the celebration following Sunday’s win over Notre Dame without a new issue.

We’re guessing Williams doesn’t mind this one, as the Tar Heels coach actually cut his hand while cutting down the nets.

If you don’t like the sight of blood, stop scrolling right now. If you don’t mind the sight of blood, here’s a GIF of Williams’ bloody hand post-slice.

The blood actually is kind of Williams’ thing right now, too. Earlier in the tournament, he bit his tongue while yelling.

“He should be used to cutting nets,” Tar Heels guard Marcus Paige told reporters Sunday night, per USA TODAY. “That’s something he’s done several times in his career. But couple of games ago he was bleeding as well. He came in the huddle, and he was, like, ‘Guys, I’ll bleed for you guys if you keep playing the way you’re playing.’ … It might be good luck. We’ll get him patched up, see if he starts bleeding again.”

Talk about your blood, sweat and tears.

UNC fans should hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. The Tar Heels play upstart Syracuse on Saturday night in Houston.
