Shaq’s days in a WWE ring might not be over.
Shaquille O’Neal recently shocked the WWE Universe when he showed up as a surprise participant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32. O’Neal was eliminated by several superstars who joined forces shortly after entering the squared circle, but the 15-time NBA All-Star still managed to renew his rivalry with WWE legend Big Show.
O’Neal issued a challenge to Big Show during a backstage interview following his participation in the battle royal match, which ultimately was won by Baron Corbin. TMZ Sports since has caught up with Big Show, who doesn’t appear to be shaking in his boots.
“Do I look like I’m scared?” Big Show responded when asked about O’Neal’s challenge.
Of course, Big Show soon broke kayfabe and spoke highly of O’Neal, who has been involved with professional wrestling several times in the past. The two even had a face-to-face showdown during a 2009 episode of “Monday Night RAW.”
Will we see Big Show and Shaq someday settle their “differences” with a 1-on-1 match? It’s something both 7-footers seem open to, so perhaps it’s time for Vince McMahon to make something happen.
