Clay Buchholz Not Dissatisfied With Performance, Thought Orioles Just Hit Well

Clay Buchholz can’t control anything once he lets go of the baseball. Tuesday night, the Baltimore Orioles made that abundantly clear.

The Boston Red Sox’s No. 2 starting pitcher was roughed up and charged with five earned runs in five-plus innings of work in a 9-5 Red Sox loss, raising his ERA to a solid 10.00 after two starts. But when speaking to the media after the game, Buchholz said he wasn’t overly disappointed with any of his pitches, but rather thought the O’s just did a good job of hitting the balls where he put them.
