Clay Buchholz Back On Mound As Red Sox Look To Stop Undefeated Orioles

BOSTON — The Red Sox were so close to breaking the Baltimore Orioles’ win streak in Monday’s home opener, but almost doesn’t count.

Still, the Red Sox’s offense came in hot once again in the 9-7 loss, so they’re trotting out the same lineup for Tuesday’s game at Fenway Park. This lineup has been unbelievably productive in general, scoring 35 runs in the first six games, tying the New York Yankees for second-most in the American League.

Clay Buchholz will start for Boston and certainly will look to right all the wrongs of his first outing. The right-hander gave up four runs to the Cleveland Indians in the first inning on April 6 and ended the day with five earned runs on six hits (including a three-run homer) with three walks and four strikeouts over four innings.

Here are both teams’ lineups for Tuesday.

RED SOX (3-3)
Mookie Betts, RF
Dustin Pedroia, 2B
Xander Bogaerts, SS
David Ortiz, DH
Hanley Ramirez, 1B
Travis Shaw, 3B
Brock Holt, LF
Blake Swihart, C
Jackie Bradley Jr., CF

Clay Buchholz, RHP (0-0, 11.25 ERA)

ORIOLES (6-0)
Joey Rickard, CF
Manny Machado, 3B
Chris Davis, 1B
Mark Trumbo, RF
Matt Wieters, C
Pedro Alvarez, DH
J.J. Hardy, SS
Jonathan Schoop, 2B
Ryan Flaherty, LF
