The Boston Red Sox sluggers smacked back-to-back home runs to center field in the sixth inning at Progressive Field, putting the Red Sox within one run of the Cleveland Indians with a score of 5-4 at the time. Boston eventually lost 7-6.

Ortiz’s homer was his second in as many days and was the 505th of his career, passing Eddie Murray for sole possession of 26th on the all-time list.
