Kevin Faulk just resolidified his place in New England Patriots lore.
The former running back, who won three Super Bowl titles and went to five with New England, dropped a bit of excitement into Day 2 of the 2016 NFL Draft. Faulk, one of the honorary pick announcers Friday night in Chicago, came out to reveal the Patriots’ third-round selection (78th overall) while wearing a Tom Brady jersey under his suit coat.
Faulk also was sure to casually drop the quarterback’s name as Troy Vincent, the NFL executive who recommended Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension, stood next to him.

Unfortunately, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was not on stage for the incident. He only announces the majority of the selections in the first two rounds of the draft.
The Patriots selected offensive lineman Joe Thuney with the pick.
