MLB Predictions 2016: 10 Things That (Maybe) Will Happen This Season

It’s Opening Day. Or, as some might call it, “Throw Crap Against The Wall And See If It Sticks Day.”

OK, maybe nobody uses the latter, unless, of course, you’re a weirdo. But the 2016 Major League Baseball season began Sunday with a four-game slate and will pick up steam Monday when the rest of the league joins the fray. That means we should throw out some predictions, because why not?

Admittedly, making predictions typically is a fruitless endeavor. All you really do is open yourself to criticism and (potentially) regret. And for what? Some bragging rights if you get something right?

We’re not going to let the possibility of being wrong deter us from looking into the crystal ball, though. Predictions go hand in hand with the start of a new season, so let’s all embrace the first week of MLB action by pinpointing exactly what’s going to happen over the next six-plus months.
