Villanova Coach Jay Wright Reacts To Buzzer-Beater Like His Team Lost

Villanova defeated North Carolina 77-74 in arguably the most exciting NCAA Tournament national championship game ever. You’d never know it judging by Jay Wright’s reaction.

The Villanova head coach was stone-faced Monday night immediately after Kris Jenkins lifted the Wildcats to victory with a buzzer-beater for the ages.

Wright explained during his postgame press conference that he still was in “coaching mode” after Jenkins’ miraculous shot, not knowing whether there still was time on the clock, but the coach’s reaction definitely gave a whole new meaning to the phrase “calm, cool and collected.”
