The Chicago Blackhawks’ quest for a second consecutive Stanley Cup title could come to an end Thursday night in St. Louis.
The Blackhawks trail the rival Blues 3-1 in their first-round playoff series after dropping Games 3 and 4 on home ice. Chicago also will be without forward Andrew Shaw for Game 5 after Shaw was suspended one game for using a homophobic slur directed at a referee in Tuesday’s Game 4 loss.
The Blues haven’t advanced beyond the first round since 2012 and have done so just once since 2002.
