Yoenis Cespedes did his best Derek Jeter impression Wednesday, and it almost proved costly for a handful of people.
The New York Mets outfielder got a little carried away during the game against the Miami Marlins as he chased a foul ball down the right field line at Citi Field. The ball went into the stands, but Cespedes tried to grab it by propelling himself off the outfield fence and into the stands, taking out a couple of folks in the process, including one guy who took a flying knee to the arm.

The Mets’ trainer quickly ran out to check on Cespedes — and everyone else involved — and the outfielder stayed in the game. So, too, did the guy in the “B” hat, who seemed no worse for the wear after one of baseball’s best athletes basically trampled him.
Cespedes proved he was OK by making a running catch down the right field line on the very next pitch, although he stayed out of the stands this time.
