Report: Baylor President Fired Amid Football Team’s Sexual Assault Scandal

Kenneth Starr reportedly is out as president of Baylor University.

HornsDigest.com’s Chip Brown first reported Tuesday morning the Baylor Board of Regents voted to remove Starr amid the football team’s sexual assault scandal.

A spokesperson for the university released a statement Tuesday afternoon.

If the reports are true, this is Baylor’s latest attempt at damage control after ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” reported the university allegedly shielded football players accused of assault.

Starr recently has come under fire for prioritizing football over protecting victims of sexual assault. A May report by The Dallas Morning News titled “The Silence of Ken Starr” documented his history of failing to take action despite a growing number of assaults committed by members of the football team.
